The thing that never waits

Time. Yes. Time doesn't wait. It doesn't wait for me or you,it doesn't wait even if you're the pope, george bush or the richest man in the world. It doesn't wait if you're poor, you're in love, you're depressed. It's one of those stubborn things, one of those things that cannot be compromised or blackmailed by money, feelings, emotions, words. It's staunch. It's strict and it just moves along whether you want it to or not.

I think I need time's strength in me. I think I need some of its resolve. Some of its assertiveness and stubborness. Some of its carefree-ness and it's lack of care about the world. During my weekends, time passes really quickly. During the time I'm in Australia, time always seem to drag on by. When I've got heaps of work to do, time passes even quicker. It's strange, yet relative at the same time. You know what's even stranger, time passes even when someone you treasure alot, doesn't appear to exist, when your friends make a joke out of it and everyone just appears to not care. Yes time does. It's just ticks along. Tick. tick. tick. tick.

And I shall observe time at work with the tulips I bought myself today. Sitting so prettily on a vase by my bedside table - they make me happy. Because they're pretty.

I observed a family on holiday today, from my lookout on the second floor of my favourite hangout here. It reminded me of my own family on holiday. I imagined how the oldest of the kids there must be thinking of how melbourne's such a cool place, I saw the mum pouring over the map of melbourne, I saw how the two youngest kids were made to dress in coats and all just to keep them warm. I think my family was like that a few years ago, just that well the oldest was alot prettier and she knew how to dress better than when I was at 15.

Remember mon? Baggy jeans and track shoes. We were darn cool weren't we? ha.

So now. it's back to school.
I've got Maroon 5's live album. They sound way better life. Maybe that's why they rock.

Time to fly away. To a place unknown and faraway.
