ROAD TRIP..FLY FLY AWAY..MT. PINNIGER, LAKE ELIDON
YUPS, that's what i did today. probably the most interesting thing i've done since i've come to Melbourne. took a road trip today, went to watch Leonard and Chai Ling skydive..would have gone too, but there were parental concerns, so i'll wait till next year. anyhow, yes back to my road trip. got woken up by Leonard at 7.20 this morning..earliest so far[just for the record]..we took a 2 hour drive up to Nagambie for the whole adrenaline rushing skydiving, once in a lifetime experience, following that, there was a long drive up to the Elidon National Park to see this lake that turned into a puddle [i decided that it's a puddle] because of the lack of rain, but we got to see this other lake instead and we even watched the sun set=) it was really terribly nice, because i haven't been on a road trip for such a long time. i know it sounds a little warped to want to and enjoy sitting in a car so much, but the scenery was beautiful. Country Victoria is beautiful..it possesses the same rolling hills that i fell in love when i visited England EXCEPT, i thought there wasn't enough sheep..otherwise it would have been perfect=)
the sun was out today, the last day of sun for the week. tommorrow, monday and tuesday are going to be wet, wet days. Rain, fog, cold...all adding to the already dreaded cold. i thoroughly enjoyed myself today though. Leonard was nice to allow me to come along. i want to take my parents to see what i saw today too. it's amazing what you can possibly do with a MELWAY.
and yes, i'm going to skydive too!! woohoo=)
leonard made 9 illegal turns. we didn't hit any kangaroos. we got lost 2 times.
the ingenunity of it all. i need to drrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii...ve
